Smt SMRITI DAGUR, PRESIDENT IETE (2014-15)

She has M.S, in Computer Science from Rutgers University, USA, and B.E. (Hons) in Electronics Engineering from BITS, Pilani.

She is Teaching MIS in various Gujarat University colleges in MBA and MCA programs. She has 35 years’ experience in Academics and Industry in India, Liberia - West Africa and USA. She has been an entrepreneur and awarded the best entrepreneur’s award from Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and GIDC. She has received various other awards also. She has been invited to deliver keynote addresses in ISRO, Ahmedabad and various Management Associations. She has conducted PG Program of All India Management Association. She had set up first Microwave Laboratory, in L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad.

She has been Fellow of IETE since 1986 and the Council member for three terms. She was Zonal Coordinator (2009-2012) and was instrumental in procuring premises for five Centres. She established three Sub Centres. She has been Chairperson of various committees of IETE and presently Chairperson of Industrial coordination & Consultancy Committee and Women for Empowerment in Engineering Committee. She was the convenor of the Annual Technical Convention and organized very successful exhibition in 2004 and 2011 in Ahmedabad where Shri Narendra Modi was the Chief Guest. She is also a member of CSI, and served as a committee member  in Ahmedabad Management Association, The Old Xavierites’ Association and other Associations.
