Role of the Board of Examination & Student Affairs (BOESA)
- All the aspects of conduct of examination for ALCCS, AMIETE and DipIETE in Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science and Engineering & IT streams.
- Addition or deletion of an Examination Centre.
- All matters related to printing of answer books and timely dispatch to Centres.
- Setting and Processing of question papers, their moderation, proof reading, printing and timely dispatch of question papers to all Examination Centres.
- Preparation and printing of solutions of MCQ part of Question Papers.
- Compilation, Moderation and Declaration of results. Analysis of Centre- wise and Subject-wise examination results and recommend ways and means to improve the results.
- Policy decision with respect to all examination oriented activities e.g. approval of projects/seminars etc.
- To Organize Annual Convocation in association with Academic Committee.
- To Conduct Online Examinations of other Organizations as per agreement with them.
- Student enrollment for DipIETE/AMIETE/ALCCS. Interaction with students at HQ/Centres regarding their problems and necessary action/recommendations with respect to courses.
- To act as a single window agency for all matters related to students and to act as a link between students and various sections of the HQ.
- Addressing all queries of students and redressal of their problems.
- Recommend actions required for the betterment of the student community from issues identified through interaction, feedback and other inputs.
- Close Interaction with Academic Section for award of means-cum-merit scholarship. All matters including policy formation for any scholarship scheme to Students.
- Preparation and Introduction of material for E-education along with Academic Committee.
- To pursue requests to Govt/Pvt Universities/ Organizations for recognizing IETE courses for higher education and placement purposes.

Information of Student Interaction Cell (SIC) at IETE HQ
1. To serve the Students better, a Student Interaction Cell (SIC) at HQ has been established to help students, to guide and provide the desired Information at the earliest.
2. Student can either personally visit IETE HQ to meet Technical Officer (SIC) or can contact him by any of the following means :
(a) Personal Interaction at IETE HQ.
(b) Through Telephone (011- 43538853/81).
(c) E-mail (sic@iete.org).
(d) By posting queries on ‘Interactive Forum’ : ‘ Academic – Placement – Personal ‘ and ‘ Problem solving ‘ categories along with Name and Membership No. (http://iete-elan.ac.in).
Note : Kindly do not post any queries in the Forum ‘ Message from Elan ‘ category. This category is for posting important information from HQ IETE for the Students and should be visited frequently.
If the students queries are not answered or resolved within a reasonable time, students may contact Secretary General, IETE through personal meeting or phone (011-43538821/22) or email (sec.gen@iete.org). Students are not to approach any other section of the HQ as their queries/problems shall not be entertained by them.
