The contents of papers for each IETE Journal should be in the broad areas of: Artificial Intelligence, Circuits
and System, Communications, Computers, Controls, Electromagnetics, Electronic Devices and Components,
Instrumentation and Measurements, Opto-electronics, Power Electronics, Information Technology Broadcast
Engineering, Bio-informatics, Nano-technology, Medical-electronics and other related subjects. However, in Special
issues, the focus is on a particular subject and broad headings are specified by the Guest editor.
The level of papers should conform to the following:

For IETE Journal of Research
Research articles in the form of Full Papers or Letters-to-the-Editor, Product / Process / Simulation oriented
R&D work, and novel application of theoretical concepts.

For IETE Technical Review
Survey paper / State-of-the-Art review paper on current and futuristic technology; Informative papers, describing
innovative products; Analysis of technical events; papers on technology assessment and comparison etc. preferably
with no mathematics.

For IETE Journal of Education
It caters to the readership of undergraduate and diploma students of Electronics, Telecommunication, Information
Technology and Computer Science & Engineering. Papers of student’s interest should generally be written in tutorial
style with numerical examples and practical illustrations. An honorarium of Rs 1000/- will be paid to the contributor(s)
of each published paper.

Manuscripts in triplicate (hard copies) along with a soft copy on floppy or through e-mail on ietend@bol.net. in should be sent to the Managing Editor, IETE, 2, Institutional Area, Lodi Road, New Delhi 110 003, India.
It should be accompanied with the Manuscript Cover Sheet (reproduced from the attached pages of these
Instructions or downloaded from IETE website (www.iete.org) under the heading ‘Publications’, containing
relevant details for processing the manuscript. (Please note that no manuscript will be processed without the
duly filled manuscript cover sheet. Submission of a manuscript will imply that (i) it has not been previously
published; (ii) it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and (iii) if accepted, it will not be published
elsewhere.
- Manuscripts should be neatly typed in double spacing and on one side of the paper only with 3 cm margin on
all sides. All pages should be serially numbered. Use good quality A-4 size paper. Contributions for full and short papers should not normally exceed 5,000 and 2,000 words, respectively. In terms of the number of
pages, it works out to 10-12 and 4-5 pages, respectively. Authors will be required to transfer copyright of
the paper to IETE.
