K S Prakash Rao (F113444L) is Managing Director in M/s
Powertel Solutions, Hyderbad. Earlier he was Chief Engineer, APSEB.
He has planned and executed 2000 km Optic Fibre Super-Communications
highway on APTRANSCO’s infrastructure. Shri Rao has undergone
specialized training on Total Quality Management in USA. He has
served IETE Hyderabad Centre in many capacities including Hony
Treasurer and has been associated in organizing programs during
Silver Jubilee Year of the centre. He has been actively participating
in the activities of IETE Hyderabad Centre since many years.

S A Soundara Rajan (F024609L) is DMIT, FIETE, FBES, Member
of IEEE & CSI. He is serving IETE since 1976 and credited
with enrolling members, setting-up computer and electronic laboratory.
He served AIR and Doordarshan for 34 years and retired from the
post of Chief Engineer. He is a nominated member of Academic Council
of Anna University. He has been responsible for good interaction
and liaison with industry and sister institutions.

Wg Cdr (Dr) M L Bala (Retd) (F047822L) is MSc, PhD, C.Engg
(IETE), F-BES. Dr Bala is known for his technical writing. His
book "Defence Science" was released by Dr APJ Abdul
Kalam, the Hon'ble President of India, the then Scientific Advisor
to Raksha Mantri. He has been honoured for his technical writings
at national level. Dr Bala has a long and close association with
IETE. He conducted career training during 1982-86 for DEAL Dehradun
Technical Assistants for AMIETE. Later on he was Course Coordinator
from 1992-96 and conducted "Education through Satellite"
programme (1993-96). Dr Bala was Delhi Local Centre's Executive
Committee Member (1996-97), Hony Secretary (1997-98), and IETE
Council Member (1998-2001), Hony Treasurer (1999-2001). He has
been responsible for project COILNet (Content Creation in Emerging
Technologies in Indian languages). He instituted an award for
meritorious DipIETE girl students at Delhi Local Centre.

S K Aggarwal (F015676L), Chairman IETE Delhi Centre,
is an Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer with wide ranging
experience of working on projects, programs and committees of
various Government Departments. Presently he is working in the
Director Grade in Dept of IT, MC& IT, New Delhi. He is an
IETE graduate and an MBA in Finance. Shri Aggarwal has been serving
IETE Delhi for some time.

V Appakutty (F082715L), Chairman IETE Chennai Centre,
is working as Director, Doordarshan, Chennai. He has authored
seven technical books and is a recipient of Indira Gandhi Sadbhavana
Award, besides being a Lawyer and Guest Faculty in Anna University.
He is associated with IETE activities for more than a decade.
Brig Ramesh Chandra (Retd) (F069578L), is MTech
in Management & Systems and BE in Electronics & Telecommunication.
He served the Indian Army for 35 years with distinction and held
many prestigious assignments including Deputy Director General
Communication Planning, Army Headquarters, where he was responsible
for developing communication concepts based on future technology,
trials, evaluation and induction of communication equipment and
spectrum management for the Army. He has also served as Chief
Signal Officer of important areas. At present he is the Plant
Head, Hamdard (Wakf) Laboratories, Ghaziabad (UP). He has been
associated with IETE for last 15 years as a Life Fellow.

Janardhan Vasudev Dave (F051034L), Chairman IETE Ahmedabad
Centre is a BE (Electronics & Communication), ME (Electronics)
both from Gujarat University. Presently, he is heading Electronics
& Communication Dept of L D College of Engineering, Ahmedabad.
He is a senior member of many professional bodies including DOEACC,
SAC, Ahmedabad, GPSC for selection of academic posts and Chairman,
Board of Study of Electronics & Communication Engineering,
Gujarat University. He has served as Hony Treasurer IETE Ahmedabad
Centre for the year 2002-2004
