Shri C Govardhan (F122819L), Chairman IETE Hyderabad Centre is Electrical Engineering graduate with University 1st rank from Kerala University and has been working in the Department of Telecommunications since 1970. Presently he is Principal General Manager, Hyderabad Telecom District. He has served as Honorary Secretary IETE, Hyderabad
during 1981, 1982 and 1984.

Shri M G Kulkarni (F013050L), Chairman IETE Pune Centre, is BE (Telecom) and MSc (Engg) from College of Engineering, Pune. He was Asstt Lecturer in Radio Communication Department, College of Engineering, Pune from June 1958 to Nov 1959. He joined Indian Telecom Service Group A in Dec 1959 and worked in various capacities. He was General Manager and CGM in defferent Telecom regions from 1979 to '93. Shri Kulkarni was Member (Services) from August 1993 to Feb 1995. He visited many foreign countries and has been member of ITU Study Group. He joined IETE fraternity in 1969 and is a Fellow of IETE since 1982. He was Chairman IETE, Mumbai Centre ('85-'87), and nominated Council Member of IETE 1993-94.

Prof C Murali (F090040L), Chairman IETE Bangalore Centre, graduated from University College, Bangalore and MSc Electronics from BITS, Pilani. Presently he is senior Professor in MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, where he worked as Lecturer, Reader and rose to the position of Professor. He has served various Universities as member of BOE, & BOS and also as Chairman. Prof Murali has authored a book on Computer Communication Networks. His areas of interest are Microwave Engineering, Power Electronics, Communication Systems and Computer Networks. He is in the panel of Eminent Academicians. He has served IETE, Bangalore Centre as EC member, Hony Secretary & Vice-Chairman.

Wg Cdr P Prabhakar (Retd) (F030017L), Chairman IETE, Chandigarh Centre started his career at Guru Nanak Dev Engg College, Ludhiana in 1974. He joined Indian Airforce in 1975 and held various appointments. In 1997 he took premature retirement from IAF and joined as the Principal of IITT, College of Engineering, Kala Amb, HimachalPradesh. In 1999, he was invited by Shri Sukhmani Group of Institutes to join as Director. He has been instrumental in establishing laboratories, starting MTech Programme under Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.

 

For last 10 years, Wg Cdr Prabhakar has been actively participating in the activities of IETE Chandigarh Centre.

Prof Hiranmoy Saha (F091182L), Chairman IETE Kolkata Centre obtained his B Tech and M Tech in Radio Physics and Electronics from Calcutta University in 1967. He carried out pioneering research in the field of Solar Cells and Solar
Photovoltaic Systems in India and was awarded the first PVSEC National Prize by Solar Energy Society of India in 1997. He is an active Research Scientist and has contributed more than 100 technical papers and presentations in the field of semiconductor and Opto Electronics Devices, Integrated Circuits, VLSI Design and MEMS based Sensors. He is currently a senior Professor in the Dept of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Jadavpur University. Prof Saha has served IETE Calcutta Centre earlier too as Hony Secretary and Vice-Chairman. He is also the Ex-Chairman of Solar Energy Society of India, Eastern Regional Chapter and associated with a number of Electronics and Solar Photovoltaic Industries as Advisor, Hony Board Member and a Consultant.

Shri G S Tuteja (F057951L), Chairman IETE Mumbai Centre is an Electronics graduate with post-graduate qualification in Industrial Engineering, specializing in operations planning and control, project management and Management information systems. During his 24 years career
with the Indian Railways, he has worked in diverse geographical territories and managed major projects. Presently, he is working as Chief Signal Engineer in Central Railway. Shri Tuteja is a member of IEE, London. He has presented technical papers on diverse fields in various forums. He is a regular visiting faculty for Indian Railways’ prestigious training institutions.
