ELECTRONICS/ TELECOMMUNICATION/ COMPUTER/ IT /SOFTWARE / HARDWARE INNOVATION / NANOTECHNOLOGY & RELATED SUBJECTS ELIGIBILITY: IETE STUDENT MEMBERS AND UNDERGRADUATE ENGINEERING STUDENTS IN INDIA |

GUIDELINES | ||
1. FORMAT: The paper should be written in English by not more than two authors. The length of the paper should be limited to 3000 words (about 8 to 9 pages including figures) and neatly typed on A4 size paper, one side only with double space and wide margins (2.5 cm) on both sides. Figures / diagrams should be legible and neatly labeled. | ||
2. SUBMISSION OF PAPER: Three hard copies of paper are to be submitted. In case of BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engg) students, the paper should be accompanied by a bona fide certificate of studentship issued by the head of the department/institution, where the student is enrolled, clearly indicating the class and the branch of study, endorsing the student’s authorship of the paper and specific contribution by the author(s) vetted by the head of the department. The certificate should also include declaration that the paper has not been published or presented for publication in any magazine or journal, nor has it been published or accepted for presentation in any symposium or conference during the period of its consideration by IETE. In the case of IETE student members, the membership number should be certified by an IETE Council Member or a Chairman of IETE Local Centre / Sub-Centre. The paper is liable to be disqualified in the absence of this certificate. The authors are to write clearly their postal address, telephone No., fax No. and e-mail address. They are advised to keep IETE up-dated with latest mailing address, phone no and e-mail etc till end September 2008.Also they are to super-subscribe on the top of envelop, “(IETE – NATIONAL TECHNICAL PAPER CONTEST 2008”) |

EVALUATION OF PAPERS: The papers will be evaluated by a panel
of experts on the basis of qualities like originality, technical and practical
design idea content, relevance, clarity etc. Amongst the papers received,
a few of these will be short-listed after review by panel of experts. The authors of short listed papers will be invited to give an oral presentation
based on their papers to a panel of judges on the occasion of IETE-Annual
Technical Convention (ATC) normally in the last week of September
2008 TA/DA will be paid to the contestants as per admissible IETE
norms. The best three papers selected
in the overall contest will be awarded following cash prizes and
certificates on the occasion of 51st
